In the third quarter of 2024, the navigation and maps app category witnessed notable trends across Oceania, providing insights into user engagement and app popularity. According to data from Sensor Tower, here's how the top five apps performed during this period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 41K in mid-August. Active users hovered around 600K throughout the quarter, maintaining a stable user base.

Google Maps showed a steady upward trend in downloads, reaching approximately 36K by the end of September. The app maintained a robust active user count, crossing the 3M mark towards the quarter's end.

Google Earth displayed a steady download pattern, averaging around 13K weekly downloads. Active user numbers remained consistent, fluctuating slightly around 51K throughout the quarter.

GPS Map Navigation saw weekly revenue increase gradually, reaching about $735 by the end of September. Downloads showed some fluctuations, with a slight dip mid-quarter but recovering to around 4.5K. Active users varied between 35K and 40K, with a noticeable peak in late August.

Polarsteps - Travel Tracker had a steady download trend, peaking in early September at about 5.4K. Active users showed a gradual increase, reaching close to 19K towards the end of the quarter.
